Abrasion Resistant (AR) Valves

Our abrasion-resistant (AR) valves are specifically designed for severe applications and heavy wear. These valves are well-suited for pumping environments involving abrasives or small solids, as well as applications with high pressures. Triangle Pump Components’ durable AR valves can pump acid, hazardous chemicals, chlorine, and small solids under pressures up to 15,000 psi. Standard AR valve seats are offered in 316 stainless steel as well as 17-4 hardened stainless steel and other alloys. The valve member is made of the same material as the seat, with or without a polyurethane insert for use in temperatures below 160 °F. Fluoroelastomer inserts are available for higher-temperature uses. Our AR valves are offered in a range of different sizes, and can be made from various materials to meet special application needs.

Plate Valves

Triangle Pump Components also manufacturers plate valves. The plate pump valve, a double-sprung, stem-guided plate-style model, is available with a Delrin®, stainless steel, or titanium plate. Our plate valves feature a one-piece retainer, which can house either one or two springs. The standard seat is made of 316 stainless steel unless otherwise specified. These valves are offered in a range of different sizes, and can be made of Monel® or stainless steel. Our premium plate valves are ideal for rigorous, harsh environments and can pump highly abrasive, corrosive materials such as hydraulic fluid, ammonia, gasoline, and petrochemicals.

Plungers and Extension Rods

We also supply plungers and extension rods. As with our valves, all of our plungers and extension rods are designed for optimal efficiency and long-lasting service life. Our plungers are available in either ceramic or metal models to meet specific application needs, and our manufacturing and assembly techniques have eliminated the risk of pull-apart problems in the ceramic plungers. Our metal plungers are available in Colmonoy®, tungsten carbide, Wallex®, and chrome oxide.

Plunger Packing and Stuffing Box Components

Triangle Pump Components carries the top brand name in plunger packing and stuffing box components — the Utex® 838 style packing for general service applications. This packing creates a seal around an extension rod or plunger. For an extension rod or plunger, the packing is stationary and is contained by the stuffing box. Proper alignment of the plunger is crucial for ensuring an extended wear life and correct flow conditions. Our stuffing box components are offered in brass, 316 stainless steel, or any other customer-preferred material.

But when inspection shows that wear has occurred, proper maintenance — such as replacing the valve disc, spring, and sleeve, or torquing studs, bolts, and locknuts — may be necessary. Our high-quality valve pullers help facilitate these tasks.
